Swiss Epic 2020

Hey Adventure Freaks

Hope you are doing well.

For me it is time to get back into racing after a longer break due to the COVID-19 situation, which sadly had a big impact on our beloved sports world.

The UCI S1 stage race Swiss Epic in Switzerland (Laax-Davos) will be the next big event in mountain bike sport, starting next week from August 18th- 22nd. This event is for pairs and I will again team up with the former Belgium Champion Frans Claes. Last year we were able to take a stage victory in this great event. Also this year, of course, we are again super motivated and we will try all to repeat or even improve last year’s achievement. As it is the first race after a long period with no competitions, everyone else is also really looking forward to perform at their best. Factory teams like Trek, Specialized and Canyon are sending their best riders. The Swiss Scott team will line up with the current Olympic Champion in XCO mountain bike from Switzerland Nino Schurter. The competition will be really tough, but our preparations went good and we have been focused on this event for a long time and will aim for a good result. I hope you are all following our team and will stay informed via my social media account or the official pages from the race organisation

As unfortunately many mountain bike events have still been cancelled in September and October due to the COVID situation, I will immediately prepare the cyclo-cross season starting at the end of September here in Luxembourg. I am already at this point looking into next year’s schedule and planning my calendar etc. for the 2021 MTB season.

We still need to have some patience with the current situation, but together I am sure we will once again get the ball rolling.

Best regards

Soren Nissen
